Google Maps for Android tweaks user's shared location icon
Google Maps has been making a lot of changes recently, including adding expanded support for electric vehicles, letting users see estimated toll prices, and much more. One interesting UI change may have gone unnoticed though. Google Maps has made an adjustment to the shared location user icon.
Shared locations has been a huge part of Google Maps for a good while now. I personally use it quite often. It makes it easy to keep tabs on people – when they want you to – and let others know where you are and how far away you’ll be.

Union workers at Hawai’i Gas Co. have reached an agreement on a new contract with increased wages and improved benefits, ending the nearly two-week strike that began June 1 and impacted multiple local businesses that rely on propane.
They are scheduled to go back to work today, the company said.
The Hawaii Teamsters & Allied Workers Local 996 and the company confirmed the ratification of a new three-year contract in separate announcements on Wednesday night.

Researchers predict 'below-average' 2023 hurricane season
This year's hurricane season may be a little quieter than in years past.
Colorado State University researchers are predicting 13 named storms, including six hurricanes.
In the university’s Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast, released Thursday, researchers say two will be major hurricanes — Category 3, 4, or 5 — with sustained winds in excess of 111 miles an hour.
According to the forecast, hurricane activity in 2023 will be roughly 80% of the normal season activity recorded from 1991 to 2020.
