Nampa, ID (CBS2) — Lakeview Park in Nampa celebrated the grand opening of a brand new playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday.
The playground has an "inclusive play design" allowing children of varying ability levels to play. The surface is made of bonded rubber mulch allowing for wheelchair access and a fall-safe surface. The playground has a variety of activities and offers swings, slides, musical instruments, a log tunnel, roll-on spinner, and a bamboo climbing jungle to challenge kids of all abilities and foster their imagination.
The new playground replaces an outdated play structure that was more than 25-years-old.
Lakeview Park offers around 44 acres of greenspace and is located at 1409 E. Lake Ethel Court in Nampa.
