The Mountain West Conference announced on social media Thursday night a shortened eight-game schedule.
Games will begin the weekend of Oct. 24 concluding with a championship game Dec. 19.
“I’m so excited that our coaches and student-athletes are going to get to do this fall what they do best - compete and win," said Dr. Marlene Tromp, BSU president.

Boise police arrest suspect for grocery store stabbing and failed robbery

Boise Police have made an arrest in the stabbing that occurred at a grocery store on East Myrtle Thursday afternoon.
Police arrested 22-year-old Abner Navarro Raudales of Boise on one felony count of Robbery and one felony count of aggravated battery. After the initial investigation showed that Raudales had planned to rob the victim in the bathroom as well as stab him.
Police say that the victim and Raudales did not know each other.

Demonstration of new layer of missile-warning satellites planned for 2026
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Space Systems Command announced Nov. 28 that two satellite designs — one by Millennium Space Systems and the other by Raytheon Intelligence & Space — passed critical reviews and will move into the next phase of development.
Both companies designed medium Earth orbit (MEO) sensor satellites to detect and track hypersonic missiles, and are on schedule for a 2026 on-orbit demonstration, the command said.
